Dr. Nell Byler is the Lead Geospatial AI Engineer at Neural where she is spearheading the development of transformative AI/ML solutions to derive actionable insights from complex spatial datasets. Nell excels at bridging the gap between advanced research and production-ready solutions, partnering with diverse stakeholders to deliver high-impact results.
Prior to joining Neural, Nell was a data scientist at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, where she led the multimodal data science team and managed the technical delivery and government briefings for four remote sensing projects in the national security domain. Nell holds a PhD in astronomy from the University of Washington and spent three years as a post-doctoral fellow at the Australian National University studying the origin and evolution of galaxies.
