About the position

The Sales Engineer at Neural Earth serves as the critical technical bridge between our AI-powered geospatial products and the customers who need them. Working together with Account Executives, you will lead technical discovery calls, deliver compelling product demonstrations, and ensure that prospects understand how Neural Earth’s platform aligns to their critical outcomes. You will operate within a structured sales process, owning the technical validation stages from Discovery through POV to Close.

This role requires a unique blend of technical depth and customer-facing communication skills. You should be comfortable discussing geospatial data formats and cloud architectures with customer tech teams in the morning and translating that into business impact for a C-suite stakeholder in the afternoon. The ideal candidate is passionate about geospatial technology and AI, thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, and has experience supporting complex enterprise sales cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Account Executives throughout the sales cycle, owning the technical win from Discovery Call through Demonstration, Qualification, Paid POV, and Close stages.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions in prospect and customer engagement to understand pain points, infrastructure, data requirements, and decision criteria.
  • Design and deliver tailored product demonstrations and technical presentations that map Neural Earth’s geospatial AI capabilities to specific customer use cases and business outcomes.
  • Build and execute proof-of-value (POV) and pilot projects, working with customer data to demonstrate measurable value and ROI.
  • Collaborate with product marketing to develop competitive positioning, identify technical differentiators, and address technical objections.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate customer feedback, feature requests, and market signals into product roadmap input.
  • Support the qualification process with Economic Buyers (EB) by articulating technical value in business terms: metrics, ROI, and risk reduction.
  • Create and maintain technical sales collateral including solution architectures, integration guides, technical one-pagers, and demo environments.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Geospatial Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Technical Pre-Sales role, preferably in B2B SaaS or data/analytics platforms.
  • Strong technical foundation in at least two of the following: geospatial technologies, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), data engineering, or AI/ML.
  • Experience with geospatial tools, databases, data formats, and GIS platforms.  
  • Proven ability to deliver structured technical demonstrations and presentations to both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working autonomously in a remote, fast-paced startup environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with AI/ML concepts and the ability to explain model outputs, confidence scores, and data pipelines to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, APIs, and scripting for building custom demos or integrations.
  • Knowledge of industry verticals Neural Earth serves - insurance, energy, government, defense, real estate, climate, or smart cities.
  • Experience with Story Selling or narrative-driven sales frameworks.

Additional Information

The compensation range for this role is $140,000 - $320,000 annually, based on role, level, and expertise.
